Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, including commander Bashir Lashkari who was allegedly behind the killing of six policemen last month, were killed in an encounter with government forces in Kashmir’s Anantnag district today, police said. Two civilians were killed in Aripanthan area of Beerwah in Budgam district Tuesday morning when CRPF personnel opened fire on a group of protesters, sources told Kashmir Post. Sources said that a CRPF party was on way near Aripanthan when it faced a group of people who were protesting against excesses.
