Protesting cow slaughter, UP police officer killed by villagers

A police officer was killed by a mob in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr after hundreds of people attacked the district’s Syana police station. Initial reports said the villagers had gathered outside the police to protest cow slaughter and threw stones. At a Press conference later, UP’s additional director general of police Anand Kumar said the police officer had died in firing from villagers.
