Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, was observed with religious fervour across the Kashmir valley today. The largest Friday prayer gatherings in the city were held at the Jamia Masjid in the old city and the Hazratbal shrine, which houses the holy relic of Prophet Mohammad, on the banks of the Dal Lake. Despite hot weather conditions, devotees were also seen praying on the streets adjacent to several mosques and shrines at various places.
