With the election results for the student body of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) declared, a Kashmiri scholar has been elected as the vice-president of the AMU Students’ Union. Sajad Subhan Rather has become the first Kashmiri to grab the coveted post of vice-president of the students’ body of the AMU, one of the largest residential universities in north India located in Aligarh, Utttar Pradesh.
