Militants escape after brief gunfight in Ganderbal

Militants gave slip to security men during a brief gunfight in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday. A senior police official told KP forces launched a combing operation in Wanihama Bala area of Shuhama in Ganderbal district following inputs about presence of militants there. “The hiding militants fired towards the security men. The fire was returned by the troops. Both sides exchanged fire for some time,” he said. Hospitals in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are without any proper heating arrangements due to which patients and hospitals staff is facing immense inconveniences.
