Less than a month after assuring least power outages this season, the power development department (PDD) has decided to increase curtailment hours in Kashmir. On Tuesday, plains in Kashmir received their first snowfall, three weeks after the high altitude regions. This week, parts of North India—in particular, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu Kashmir—are likely to continue experiencing colder weather conditions.
