CRPF orders high-level inquiry into patient’s death during Highway Ban

The CRPF has ordered a “high-level inquiry” into the death of a patient as his ambulance was stopped due to the latest restriction imposed on the movement of civilian traffic in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the Pulwama attack. Nearly 50 lakh people in India lost their jobs between 2016-2018, a report said highlighting that the “beginning of the decline” coincided with demonetisation, although “no direct causal relationship could be established” between the trends.
