Jammu to have 58.255 Km Ringroad & Bypass in next 3 Years

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued letter of award for the construction of the 58.255-km-long stand-alone ring road and bypass around Jammu city which will be constructed in three years. The project will be carried out on engineering, procurement and construction basis. Seven years on, the four-laning of Srinagar-Qazigund stretch of highway is yet to be completed, officials say it is set to miss December deadline too due to incomplete overhead bridges at various junctions. Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday issued guidelines to regulate the usage of social media by its employees, which includes, among others, refraining from posts prejudicial to the government.
