‘Warmest Place on Earth’ promotional film released by Mehbooba Mufti to promote Kashmir Tourism

To offset negative perception about Kashmir not being safe, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday released a five-minute tourism promotional film ‘Warmest Place on Earth’ here at Tagore Hall highlighting the hospitable nature of Kashmiris.
The film has been produced by tourism department for the promotion of tourism sector and to help portray the hospitable nature of the Kashmiris.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said Kashmiris have always been hospitable and helped tourist all the time.
Citing many examples of hospitable and caring nature of the locals, Mufti said when tourists need any kind of help, locals are wholeheartedly at the forefront even before police or any defense force reaches for help.
She cited the example of a boat man who drowned while rescuing the tourists.

She said whatever Delhi-based media portrays about Kashmir is not true.
“The media sometimes uses old footages for their shows which ultimately harms tourism sector,” she said.

Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar, Principal Secretary CM Rohit Kansal, Commissioner Secretary Tourism M H Malik, Director Tourism Kashmir Mahmood A Shah were present at the launch ceremony.
