Grenade blast in Tral, 03 Civilians killed 30 Injured, scores hit with pellets

Two civilians were killed while scores were injured after suspected militants lobbed a hand grenade at bus stand Tral on Thursday.

Kashmir Post has learnt that as soon as R&B Minister Nayeem Akhter reached Tral for project inauguration militants lobbed a grenade killing two civilians on spot including a woman the blast that took place at Bus Stand Tral.

Thirty others, including police and paramilitary personnel, were wounded in the explosion, they said.
The injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Tral for treatment.

Six civilians who have sustained injuries in Tral were brought to SMHS Srinagar for specialized treatment on Thursday.
Earlier, protests were held outside SDH Tral where the injured were being treated.

Scores of people on Thursday staged a protest outside the Sub-district Hospital Tral to demonstrate against the forces for “opening fire and resorting to pellet firing on civilians after a grenade attack.”
While raising slogans against the police and CRPF, the protesters alleged that the forces opened fire on civilians after the grenade attack at Tral bus stand.

The attack took place when Works Minister was visiting the area to inaugurate a developmental project.
