The Kashmir High Court Bar Association today termed the ongoing Hurriyat-sponsored shutdown a “jolt” to the “Indian Government”. It said that it was the writ of the Hurriyat and not of the government which was being followed by the people of the Valley by obeying the weekly shutdown calendar. Leh in frontier Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir was the coldest place in the state with the night temperature plummeting to minus 9.5 degrees Celsius. Clashes in Noorbagh after youth succumbs who was hit by ‘Force’s Vehicle’

Clashes erupted between protesters and security forces in the Noorbagh area here today following the death of a youth, who succumbed to his injuries at the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), this morning.
