Vehicle torched in north Kashmir, Shop set ablaze in Kupwara; JK Bank branch damaged for defying strike

In a second incident of its kind, a passenger vehicle went up in flames in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said that unidentified persons torched the Scorpio vehicle, bearing registration number JK05 1031 near Delina area of the district.
The vehicle, according to reports, was parked on a road when it was torched.
A scorpio vehicle went up in flames in Sadrabal area of Srinagar earlier today. However, there was no immediate confirmation if the vehicle was set ablaze.

Meanwhile, reports said that a matting shop was set ablaze when unknown persons lobbed a petrol bomb inside it in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. “Some shops had opened but now there is complete shutdown after the incident in which the shop was completely damaged,” local sources from Kupwara said. The incident took place around 10:30 AM at Kupwara Bypass.

A group of masked people Wednesday entered a branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank (JKB) and damaged cash counter and other articles apparently for defying strike, called by separatists, reports said.
As per reports a group of masked people entered J&K Bank branch at Budshah Nagar, Natipora, when the bank was functioning.
They damaged some furniture, cash counter and other articles of the Bank. The masked men later escaped before police could reach the spot.
