Geelani’s Press Conference foiled; Journalists ‘Forced’ to leave from Hyderpora

Hyderpora sealed ahead of Geelani’s Presser

The journalists who had managed to reach near Geelani’s residence in Hyderpora were forced to board their conveyances and escorted out of the area by policemen.

Police on foiled a press conference called by Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani at his residence by sealing off Hyderpora locality and forcing journalists to leave from the area.
Police and paramilitary forces were deployed in strength in the area to restrict the movement of pedestrians and motorists.

The journalists who had managed to reach near Geelani’s residence in Hyderpora were forced to board their conveyances and escorted out of the area by policemen.

Geelani had called an “important” press conference today at 11 am at his residence where he remains under house arrest.

Police have sealed Hyderpora area of Srinagar where Hurriyat (G) chairman was scheduled to address a press conference at 11 am.
The journalists who managed to reach near the residence of the octogenarian leader said that policemen were forcing them to retreat from the area.  Geelani, who is under house arrest, had called for an “important” press conference at 11 am today.
