Pro-Freedom Rallies continue in South Kashmir; Two youth detained in Pandach

Continuing with the pro-freedom rallies in South Kashmir, thousands of people assembled in Kehribal area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad on Thursday.
Hundreds of people which included members of Sikh community as well participated in the rally where strong pro-freedom slogans were raised.
The pro-freedom rally witnessed pro-Khalistan slogans as well.

Kehribal Islamabad pro-freedom rally on August 25, 2016Speakers from different sects also spoke on the occasion including, Mir Hafizullah of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Er Farooq of Hurriyat Conference, Sheikh Gulzar and others.
Meanwhile, early in the morning, a truck driver was reportedly injured in stone pelting incident at Qazigund on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
Identified as Shabir Ahmad Khan, s/o Rehmatullah Khan of Kupwara, he was referred to SKIMS Srinagar, after being given first aid in PHC Qazigund.

Meanwhile, two youth have been detained by police during a night raid at Pandach in city outskirts. The locals said that police along with troops appeared during the dead of the night and arrested Sajid Ahmad Bangri along with another youth.
Father of Sajid Abdul Rashid Bangri said that his son who is 21 years of age is into transportation business and during the crisis was ferrying Armarnath yatris.
“He is not a stone pelter and was leaving for Ladakh, but police detained him,” he said.
Adding that they police took away two mobiles. The locals said that another youth was also detained in the area. Soon after the incident residents hit the main roads and blocked them calling for immediate release of youth.
