In a further deterioration in the situation, five people have been shot dead by the forces since morning. Four died during clashes at Beerwah, Budgam in central Kashmir and one was killed at Larkipora, Dooru in south Kashmir.

A youth identified as Amir Ganie son of Muhammad Yusuf Ganie of Naidpora was killed when forces opened fire at protesters at Larkipora here in south Kashmir on Tuesday, reports said.
At least 12 persons were injured when forces opened fire on the protesters at Larkipora Dooru here in south Kashmir on Tuesday, reports said. The injured were moved to the hospital. “Out of 12 injured persons four have sustained bullet injuries,” witnesses quoted doctors as having said.
Meanwhile, residents of Dialgam alleged that force personnel barged into their houses and ransacked them.
