In a quick action, the authorities last evening booked a JCB driver and seized the machine for digging the recently macadamized road at LD Colony Hyderpora here.
Officials said the areas inhabitants informed the R&B Chief Engineer SK Razdan that the recently macadamized road was being torn apart by a JCB.“Instantly a team of R&B officials lead by Chief Engineer and police escort rushed to the spot,” the officials said. They said the JCB driver was detained by Police Station Budgam whereas the machine was seized.
A spokesman of R&B said no indiscipline would be tolerated even as he appreciated the role of whistleblower as played by the LD Colony residents. “People must keep vigil on such developments and apprise us about any such developments without fail so that the roads are not vandalized,” he said.
