Kashmir, Jammu Chambers for stern action against attackers

Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has demanded stern punishment for the persons responsible for the death of Zahid Rasool Bhat. The demand has also been strongly endorsed by Jammu chamber.
Speaking to us, KCCI President, Mushtaq Wani said the perpetrators of the heinous crime should be booked for murder.
“Criminals responsible for such acts should be booked under section 302 (murder). Police, as of now has booked them under Public Safety Act. They are murders and deserve a harsh punishment,” said Wani.
Secretary General KCCI Faiz Bakshi said government should institute fast-track investigation in the incident to unearth the conspiracy behind such incidents.
“Government should also identify the perpetrators and those abetting such conspiracy. It should register the case as an act of willful murder under Sec.302 against the already identified culprits directly involved in carrying out the ugly act besides booking them under PSA. The culprits should be given death sentence so that such heinous incidents are prevented to happen in future.”
Meanwhile, Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCC&I) President, Rakesh Gupta expressed grief over the death of Zahid and demanded severe punishment against the culprits.
“Severe punishment should be awarded to the accused as soon as possible. Human lives are precious and loss of innocent lives should not go unnoticed,” Gupta told . “We have to exercise restraint. We have to maintain unity and stand united against those who want us to fight each other.”
He expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
