Massive protests broke out in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar, on Saturday against the detention of youth, reports said.
The protesters also alleged that police and forces damaged property during raids.
The protesters told reporters that the troops had detained several youth from the locality, last night. “They also smashed windowpanes of several houses and vehicles,” they added.
Meanwhile, authorities have deployed heavy contingent of police and forces to “maintain law and order.”
