International cricketer and icon player, Parvez Rasool on Wednesday guided Al Hamza Super Kings to the opening win of the Downtown Champions League T20 match at Sheri-Kashmir cricket stadium, here.
The T20 league started formally on Wednesday with four matches played during the day at two venues – Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium and Kashmir university ground.
In the first match of the day played at SK stadium, Super Kings clashed with against Team Al-Khuddam. Parvez using all his experience guided his side to a comfortable win. For his match winning performance he was adjudged as man of the match. In the second match of the day at SK stadium, Elegant Strikers defeated Downtown Tigers. For Strikers Waseem Raza Bala scored 103 runs off 50 deliveries that included seven fours and nine sixes.
At Kashmir University ground, two matches were played in which ODO Spartans and Murtaza Warriors emerged winners.
In the first match, Warriors defeated Ahmed Resorts by three wickets. Sahil was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, debutants, ODO Spartans defeated Adlife Stars. For ODO, Imitiaz Ganai was star of the match and was adjudged as man of the match.
