Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani has called for a state-wide shutdown tomorrow to protest the killings of former militant Bashir Ahmad Bhat and his three-year-old son in Sopore last evening.
Calling the killing of the father-son duo and Hizb commander Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, whose body was found in Kunzar today, as “mysterious”, Geelani appealed people to make the strike a success, said a spokesperson.
“The killing of three-year-old Burhan Bashir is barabaric. It has shaken conscience of every human being,” he quoted Geelani as saying.
