Coalition’s poor performance matter of concern, says NC

National Conference provincial president Devender Singh Rana today expressed concern over “performance deficit” of the PDP-BJP government, saying development could not be held ransom by “competitive reactionary” politics.

“Instead of settling down and solving problems of people, coalition partners are in the process of scoring points over one another, as a consequence of which development has suffered adversely,” Rana said.

He was registering problems of people of Asrarabad, Ragoora and Sandoori Mawali during a day-long development awareness grievances camp in Nagrota Assembly segment.

Rana alleged the state in general and Jammu province in particular was craving for maintenance and upgrade of various utility services like roads, power, drinking water, irrigation and civic amenities.

He said the “insensitive” government was deliberately unleashing controversies to hide its capacity and capability to meet needs of people.

The NCleader said development and public welfare could not be undertaken by misleading the people through propaganda machinery, but this required a connect with the ground situation, which was missing.

He referred to problems of people which had accumulated during the last six months and said there seemed no political will to solve those.
