World glaciers melting at record rates: Study

A worldwide study has revealed that during 2001 to 2010, glaciers lost ice at an alarming two to three times the average for the 20th century. In a bid to provide better road communication facilities to tourists, the Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated process of widening the famed Boulevard Road along the Dal Lake here.
